Boy Scout Camp

Ryan spent 11 days with his troop. Every 3 years, the do a "summer of memories" This year was that year! They drove to Salina, KS and slept in a hanger/ snow plow storage building. Went on to Peterson AFB, went white water rafting, toured pikes peak, dinner at the Flying W ranch and then on to Camp Alexander for a week of Boy Scout camp!

Ryan completed 2 of his 4 merit badges. He has a couple more things to complete and will be close to earning Star.

Out of the boys at camp only 23 participated in the polar bear swim. Ryan was the only one from his troop to do this! He got up at 6 and went to the lake and jumped in! Freezing! Ryan spent more time in the shower warming up than he did in the lake!

No pictures, yet, but will update when I get them!

Ryan is now off to another camp -- busy summer for him!

Polar Bear Swim, sounds crazy!!! But just think you are one of the few who get to say you did it!! Now that is awesome. You guys sure are having lots of fun this summer. Way to go on the 2 merit badges. Todd works with the scouts and I know those are hard to earn. They are preparing for a Mt. Whitney hike in July right now, so he gets to do lots of hiking and camping. Hmmmmm my summer....lets see...oh yeah potty training Trevor. I think you guys win the fun summer award :)
